Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains how Big Picks LLC, doing business as Big Picks (“Big Picks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit bigpicksbetting.com or use our sports-betting analytics products and related services (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, account ID, and authentication information. Our authentication provider processes your login credentials. If you use Google sign-in, we receive the account information Google makes available for that sign-in.

Settings and Service use. We collect profile information, sportsbook preferences, bankroll and staking settings, display preferences, and other information you choose to save. Some preferences may also be stored locally in your browser.

Usage, device, and logs. We collect first-party analytics events such as pages viewed, searches, controls used, referring page, browser user agent, and a randomly generated visitor ID stored in local storage. We also receive standard network and security information, including IP address.

Research assistant messages. If you use the research assistant, we collect your question and the sports, game, player, market, and sportsbook context needed to respond.

Communications. We collect information you send us, including support requests and other correspondence.

Billing information. The Service is currently offered without a paid subscription. If we offer paid features, Stripe will process payment-card and billing information. We may receive transaction status, customer and subscription identifiers, and related billing records, but we do not store full payment-card numbers. We may retain records from earlier subscriptions as needed for legal, accounting, support, and fraud-prevention purposes.

2. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • create and administer accounts, authenticate users, and provide support;
  • personalize saved settings and research-assistant responses;
  • send transactional messages such as account confirmation, password reset, and welcome emails;
  • measure product use and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • enforce usage limits and our agreements; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

3. How we disclose information

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as reasonably needed to operate and protect the Service, including to:

  • Supabase, for authentication and database infrastructure;
  • Resend, for transactional email delivery;
  • Cloudflare, for bot and abuse protection;
  • Stripe, if payments are enabled or for earlier transaction records;
  • hosting, security, analytics, data, and research-assistant providers acting on our behalf;
  • authorities, professional advisers, or others when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the Service; and
  • a buyer, investor, successor, or adviser in a merger, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar transaction.

Links to sportsbooks, fantasy operators, Discord, and other third-party services are governed by those parties' policies. Big Picks does not control their privacy practices.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We use browser local storage for a first-party visitor ID and certain saved preferences. You can control these technologies through your browser settings, but disabling them may prevent parts of the Service from working correctly.

5. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have a right to appeal a decision about a privacy request.

To submit a request, email bigpicksbetting@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may verify your identity before completing it. You can delete local browser data through your browser settings.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. California residents may have rights to know, correct, and delete personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, where it applies. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not provide a separate opt-out link for those activities.

6. Data retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including providing the Service, maintaining records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. The period varies based on the information and why it was collected.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. International users

Big Picks operates from the United States. If you use the Service from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
